The Perks

Two weeks ago, I decided to gave in to Samsung galaxy tab. I signed up for a plan 56 and got it free. It was really a bargain so I didn't think twice.

I showed it to my ex-housemates and they can't believe that you don't have pay anything on plan 56. Then some of 'em were considering this than iphone4.

After a few days, one of my ex-housemates (oha, parang Pinoy Big Brother lang. Ahaha) signed up for that plan + a free Samsung gtab. And guess what, since she's an employee of Samsung C&T, her MSF is discounted. Instead of paying 56, her monthly bill goes down to 46. And her one month advanced is waived. Talk 'bout having perks.

Motorola Atrix and LG Optimus 2X

Everything now is so hightech. Before, you can only call, text and play a few games with your phone (remember nokia 5110 and 3210?). Today, you can still do that, call someone thru 3g or 4g where you can actually see the person you're talking to (video conferencing). Text someone with pictures, videos or audio message (mms). Play games with your high-res screen phone (typical resolution 800 x 480, iphone's retina display has 960 x 640 res). So what's the next big thing with the mobile phone world? Dual core processors. ^_^

All of the mobile phone manufacturers are gearing up their next big thing but two beat 'em in launching their most powerful phone yet (Motorola Atrix and LG Optimus 2x).

Motorola Atrix
Motorola Atrix (Image from gsmarena.com)
- 540 x 960 pixels, 4.0 inches TFT capacitive screen, gorilla glass
- Dual-core processor with geforce GPU (tegra 2)
- 5 megapixel cam with 1080p video recording
- 16gb internal memory, expandle via microsd (up to 32gb) with 1gb ram
- 1930 mAh battery

LG Optimus 2X
LG Optimus 2X (image from gsmarena.com)
- 480 x 800 pixels TFT capacitive screen
- Dual-core processor with geforce GPU (tegra 2)
- 8 megapixel cam with 1080p video recording
- 8gb internal memory, expandable via microsd (up to 32gb) with 512mb ram
- 1500 mAh battery

Both has dual core processors and both are trying to win the geeks (and consumers) heart. So which one will you choose? Many has been complaining about Motorola's software upgrade, they keep on making promises and they keep on breaking 'em. If Moto is really serious in getting back into the mobile phone market, they really should not pissed their loyal consumers or else, they will cease to exist.
I'm really lookin' forward to HTC's announcement on the upcoming Mobile World Congress which will happen on February 14-17 2011. Will keep you posted. ^_^
